Steve Frieder Quartet

Those who know saxophonist Steve Frieder and his music are never surprised by his artistic scope. You’re as likely to find him touring with Boy George as you are to find him workshopping extra-terrestrial sounds in a train tunnel, supporting a west coast indie artist, or swinging hard at the jazz jam. Fresh off the release of his genre-bending album “The Pink Cassette” and his EP “Paul’s Promise (A Dedication to Paul Robeson and the Peekskill Riots)”, Frieder presents an evening of music showcasing his succinct compositional touch with his quartet featuring pianist Tim Regusis, bassist Christopher James Talio, and drummer Jeff Siegel. Melodically rich with compelling improvisational grooves and harmonies the Hudson Valley-based group combine their creative hearts and minds for an inspired night of music at Jazz at the Lodge on September 7th.
